V6 TDI in a T6?

As per title,

I wonder if a VW Toureg V6 TDI would fit in my T6 4Mo DSG?
My engine is a CXEB, so it’s going to go bang at some point, hopefully in the distant future…

The engine bay is fairly large, has it been done?

Not sure on that engine but theres one with an RS4 engine in.

Hmm… it’s not a no…
I have a buddy who does a lot of custom stuff in the caddy and Audi world, see what he says.
If I’m going to have to spend significant amounts of money on an engine strip, rebuild or replace, then I’d rather spend it on a bigger more capable engine for towing my lump of a caravan.

Once you're past the exciting numbers theyre not actually all that awesome as engines go anyway. If you're going for a bespoke swap then may as well use a stoating motor.

The complexity of putting a longitudinal engine in a chassis designed exclusively for a transverse engine will require so much work and modification I wouldn't bother with the VAG V6 TDI!! I've got one in my Touareg and it's not that mind-blowing as @Sasquatch said above!

You want to check out DieselPumpUK and DieselPumpUK Shop those guys are nuts with what they can put the the Mercedes-Benz OM606 engine into!! (And the power output will be mental!)

They'd be able to do it in a Transporter for sure!

I’m not interested in silly numbers, 300 is a nice number, and as much torque as I can get my hands on, mater with an auto gearbox and 4Motion, should make for a formidable tow vehicle

the OM606 doesnt need an ECU to run... that makes it a lot easier to do.
On the other hand, it doesnt communicate with the dash either
