USB charging

Hi,

I am thinking of swapping out my car stereo for an iPad with a Bluetooth speaker. In order to keep all this running I would need to charge an iPad mini, speaker and a Wi-Fi dongle.

with this in mind I was thinking to use a piggy back fuse to a dedicated usb hub or something. Are there any of the shelf items that you guys know about?

You can get multiple output USB plugs for vehicles. We have doubles in ours, and in the car we have a 3 way 12v socket extension cable which allows the kids to plug all their gadgets in.
Here is an example of a triple, Amazon has hundreds of doubles.

Why don't you feed the output from the iPad to the existing car radio? Newer vehicles have Bluetooth but older vehicles have a 3.5mm jack, and my first car had a tape player which I used a 3.5mm to tape with for my Sony Walkman #showingMyAge

Thanks. I’ve always found that if you plug more than one device in to the cigarette charger the charging speeds becomes the same as the consumption speed. Was hoping to get maybe something that can charge more : faster.
