Can anyone recommend a reliable auto-electrician in the York area? Especially one that might be free next Tuesday!
I'm looking for an independent opinion to resolve (or at least oversee) a dispute between the garage that sold me my van and the company that fitted a ghost immobiliser. The van diagnostic keeps flagging multiple communication errors which occasionally register on the dashboard but generally just hide in the background. Each time they are cleared they pop straight back up again! The garage blame the Ghost, the fitters and the makers of the Ghost say this is impossible.
The van appears to have one of the cursed CXEB engines and I'm trying to return it / get the garage to repair it along with a couple of other electrical issues. But they're claiming the immobiliser has voided the warranty as it's a modification that has caused irreparable damage.
I'll be taking it to the garage on Tuesday and removing the immobiliser then – so am looking for an independent expert to keep an eye on things!
