Hello can anyone tell me what are the offical service intervals minor and major services and what she be done?

My Transporter is 3 years old in July, it had a full service in December 2019 at 72554 miles that included Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Oil Filter, Oil and pollen filter.

When would the next service be due? When is the timing belt due?

Also been quoted from VW Sheffield £485 for Major Service which i think is obsurd when the previous Service whcih was a Major and done at VW was £342.

Any help much appreciated.

We take our vans to JTC 600 at Sheffield
In the past they were really good but as years go by there getting like a lot of main dealers
Little amount of work for more returns with a attitude

I believe the cam belt is changed at 4 years and as for servicing I am going to an independent from now on, my mileage is miniscule (5k a year) so I just have a service every year and don’t bother with the long life regime.

It was JCT 600 at Sheffield I spoke too, very disapointed. With regards to the cambelt how many miles before its due just incase I exceed before the 4 years?

Would getting a cam belt and water pump done by a local garage effect the sell on value of the van? I still cant bring myself to pay the 700 that VW comercials Aberdeen want.
Ill happily use VW oem products.
I'm on 55k and van is just about to turn 4 years old.

I’m getting mine done by an independent and telling them to use OEM parts and show this clearly on the invoice. I think/hope that any future purchaser would be happy with that.

Hi, I maybe piggybacking a little here. Was wondering if the power steering fluid is part of a full service or part of a checklist and added as an extra.
