Towing damage?

Due to my own stupidity, I managed to get my t6 hopelessly bogged down on a campsite field near Bala this week. A kind chap with a nicely renovated International Harvester from the Bala lake railway eventually managed to pull me out after a lot of heaving and tugging. My worry is, how robust is the front screw in towing eye and am I likely to have done any damage?
Van drives fine and steering wheel is still central.

If the driver of the tractor was sensible and took up the slack in the rope gently rather than snatching it with an unsuitable rope, you're very unlikely to have suffered any damage to your van at all. The towing eye and structures behind it are designed for exactly that scenario.

Don't beat yourself up - this is me last week towing mine out!
