Throttle control

Is it me or does anyone else feel the throttle back off when a specific down hill incline is reached. At first I noticed it happen all the time at the same place but now I've noticed it elsewhere when just starting a certain decent. It's as if it's trying to think for you and ease back the throttle even though your foot hasn't moved position.

I had that in my 4motion loner, same places every time on my way home . did think it was the 4motion decent working but very strange!

I just have a standard 140 Kombi and mine does it . I thought it was the alternator Kicking in with the energy recovery.

If you are gaining speed coasting it will decoast(reengage) the transmission to provide some engine braking..

My 150 Kombi manual displays this characteristic. Also previous 2011 140tdi Audi A6 manual and 2009 1.9tdi VW Passat manual I have owned have also displayed this behaviour (there is a steep decline with traffics lights on my route to work), so not just a recent or dsg thing.
