Taken delivery of my Caravelle 6.1

Happy days today, just received my New T6.1 Caravelle 199 in Black

Absolutely gorgeous vehicle but so much to learn again

The Discover Pro system is different and interesting

Trying to work out how to add speed camera database and there is no sd card slot

How do you start and end a phone call from the steering wheel, all the telephone buttons have gone

Going to love this new adventure, anyone with tips please do get in touch

If the Discover Pro is the same half baked system that my Arteon has to make a call press the voice control and shout ‘Call Joe Bloggs’ as an example. If you have the ability to link to Waze on your phone it will have speed cameras. Adding speed cameras to the standard nav is I believe possible using we connect but you’ll probably waste some of your life trying!

Yea, Don't spend any more time on it! Enjoy your new van. My 19 plate T6 Highline has the older Discover with buttons two SD card slots AND a CD player. Unlike my Arteon.
VW accountants are getting to work. The original Arteon had sd slots and a CD player in the glove box - deleted on the 2020 models like mine. The 2021 models have the adaptive led lights deleted as well - now an extra £1500. Progress. The navigation handbooks are written by someone in an alternate universe - nothing seems to match the vehicle.

spot on, on my T6 was same and so easier to deal with

jump in satnav comes on and off we go, now I got to search around for everything

Maldonado making a call from the steering wheel, has gone!! No telephone button there

so with CarPlay that feature doesn’t exist, and if she finds out how much extra I paid for the discover pro I’d be in a refuge

I’m hearing I can however play video from iPhone through discover pro.... anyone know if that’s true or false?

Satnav is a burden too

every video online shows the original screen where you can see previous destinations and other choices along the bottom, but in reality I can’t find that setting

as for poi!!!!!! I’ve deselected for example Chinese restaurants and McDonald’s yet they still clutter up my screen relentlessly

I absolutely love the digital dash but the price of having it in a Caravelle is ridiculous, putting up with this discover pro, so wish I’d taken the one with 2 buttons and sd card

there is no sd card here and no way to input sped cameras etc

Don’t get too despondent about it. Just use your phone. The voice command should link to the contacts and Waze has all the info you need. Good data plan needed though. I hope the 6.1 has Android auto and Apple CarPlay!

Yes it does have CarPlay and android auto BUT seems a huge loss to those of us paying the extra to have Discover pro installed and then not enjoy any benefit of it

maybe some future updates may make a difference

if I could I’d change out the Discovery pro lol

Dropped the 17” standard alloys (for sale on the forum) for some Sportline black and chrome 18s, looking for a slide pod or similar to go in next,
Temporary roof bars in blag until I found some decent black and chrome ones, chrome angle side bars already on and booked In for lowering 30mm I believe

looking for ideas to be shared as well

will be high mileage like the previous one so will be moved on after 2years or so

My mod is, gave it back to VW, vehicle rejected, far too many problems and i am now the proud and happy owner of yet another T6 caravelle executive,

I am happy as a pig in the proverbial, at this precise moment now a member of teams, Indium Grey Mojave beige and reflex silver, i have now left team Deep Pearl Black

I have been told by that female in the household who claims to be the boss, the if i wish to join any other team, i MUST first leave one of those im already a member of, what she didn't say was i couldn't add to my memberships

I got mine last month . Caravelle 6.1 . Biggest issue was the dab antenna being faulty in the drivers door mirror . This was eventually changed . Bit confusing on where to locate stuff but getting use to it now . And on the move isn't easy to tap an icon apposed to a button. Often getting it wrong as the rise is a bit harsh and the finger bouncing over the screen . Lol
