That's a great idea
Three problems I can think of.. 1) Tinted rear windows often mean you wouldn't be able to see the stickers, 2) some vinyl has a white back to it so the sticker would appear white from the outside not the desired colour. 3) it can be difficult to get rid of all the air from the sticky side so you may get air bubbles showing.
I would be happy to take the chance, as I would be sticking it to the windscreen.
