T6 LED reverse bulb change now issues with reverse camera

Hi All,

First post so go easy on me

It's a T6 - 2018.

I've just changed the reverse light bulb to an led version this afternoon. Standard one is shocking.

I'm running a Kenwood GARMIN DNX518VDABS and it has a reverse camera. When I go into reverse now with engine running the camera no longer works and there is a loud buzzing noise from somewhere in the dash.

I did a search of forum and found that it will be relay related. I also looked through the downloadable wiring guides. I bought the HEF560 relay with diode from Halfords.

Please can I have some advice on where this is likely located for me to change? Is it likely to be with other relays or behind dash by Kenwood unit?

Alternatively you could consider software modification via VCDS, OBD11, etc.

Yes, PWM can be individually switched ON or OFF. To switch OFF PWM for reversing lights Byte 11 bit 4 needs to be deactivated(unticked) in BCM(address 09).

Thanks Robert. Just sourced the buzzing noise and switched the relay. Works fine now.
