Hi All
I've fitted eight extra down lights to the interior and tailgate of my 2016 T6 Kombi. I wanted to wire them on a three way switch (as image) so that "0" if off "2" in on perminant and "1" works with the interior lights. Now I manage to make them work as intended but sorry BIG BUT. when locked all lights go out with time but the added lights still glow, if I jump in start the van and drive off if in "1" position all interior lights remain on.
I believe I have to introduce a relay in the system but no idea how to wire it. Any advise welcome.

Sounds to me like they are not wired correctly. When you say they go off in time, they should go off as soon as the van is locked. Can you share a diagram of how you’ve wired the switch and what colour wires from the original loom go to which pins on the switch?

The courtesy door light do go out as do my extra lights but they remain on very dim. the new lights are wired in line with the roof lights. They go out with the interior lights timer

I read somewhere that the interior lights are wired with the switch on the earth side rather than the +I've side. Not sure if this is relevant for you but thought I would mention it just in case it helps.

Yes they are negitively switched, I added a direct earth the the perminantly on side of the switch and used the original negitive side of the switch for the courtesy light side. Using the courtesy light switched side the extra lights still glow dim when the standard lights go out, its as if they are picking up a reducted earth 🤔
