T6.1 Interior Factory Lights

I am thinking of adding some more interior lights but keeping the two factory courtesy lights. The additional ones wired off my leisure battery and was wondering if they will work off a dimmer switch as they are quite bright.

You would need to use a PWM led dimmer, that's what the OEM uses to fade the lights out.

Not tried any myself.

I've got a dimmer on my rear ceiling lights, works well, will try and find a link to it.

Think it's this one. Your LIghts need to be dimmable LED as well I think.

Hi,

I am hoping someone can help. I have a T6.1 with a pop top. The camper converter removed the cargo lights, but I would like to reinstate one of them as a small LED strip light across the sliding door. Luckily the converter dropped the plug/socket into the passenger side B pillar. It’s all intact with the electrical connection plug. I would like to find the other side of the connector so I don’t have to cut into the wiring loom. Did it originally connect straight into the light, or is the opposite side of the connector available to purchased. I now have four T6 ones, but they are larger. Are the T6.1 connectors available?

I have the part number for the existing from VW, but I want the other side. It might be available, just can’t find them. VW don’t have the other side, so I assume it plugs straight into the light?
