Could you please share adaptation map of 09-Central ElectricsI thought this could be done via VCDS, but couldn't find any settings.

that would be very useful if this can be done via VCDS, I will see if I can find my way to check the timing setting.Yes, correct. The time can be adjusted if so desired using the mentioned adaptation channel.
I will try that now and update, many thanks for your input.Could you please share adaptation map of 09-Central Electrics
Hi, please see the attached admap.Could you please share adaptation map of 09-Central Electrics
I was wondering if it comes on with the timer function only when it is not switched on via the mirror switch but with the heated window switch - Just a thought.I just ran it for over 25minutes, but it doesn't time out after 600 seconds. it is continually heating ( even after 25min no signs of cooling down) . can hear the relay switching off when I turn the rotary switch off. so that confirms the BCM is switching the relay correctly.
would some one can check this too, to see if this is something just unique to mine.
No, it comes ON with the mirror heater switch. In the morning I switch both the windshield heater and the mirror heaters to get both cleared. If I forget to turn the mirror heaters on, they won't come on even if I had the windshield heater On.I was wondering if it comes on with the timer function only when it is not switched on via the mirror switch but with the heated window switch - Just a thought.
We're in summer over here now, but if I remember I will test my mirror heater timing next time I go out.No, it comes ON with the mirror heater switch. Thank you very much. It seems that the MY24 BCM is similar as the earlier one (MY20-22) I already got. Although they do have different softwareHi, please see the attached admap.
Tried it today and it doesn’t turn off after 10 minutes. Still on after 25.
AstoundingIt appears that they stay on as long as the engine is running,
I Have the Current Flow Diagram if that helps you? I believe you can identify the Output Pin in the plug.I had a brief look, it appears a SMD relay controls both mirrors from within the BCU unit, and that was my first question, if any one got a pin out diagram for the three ports of BCM?. If so it would be an easy fix.
I tried mine today while out and about. I turned the rotary switch to the heater position, and had no indication that the heaters were even working, and becase it is summer here the mirrors were quite warm anyway. I also turned the rear window heater on (switch on dash) and that had the indicator lamp light up to show it was working, and then turned itself off after around 5 minutes as expected.Tried it today and it doesn’t turn off after 10 minutes. Still on after 25. This is just a gut feeling but the control feels quite basic to me as if it’s just a mechanical switch operating a relay and nothing more. Would be interesting to study a wiring diagram to see exactly what controls it.
Can't you see it on the DIS. There is usually a list of stuff switched on eg AC, heated seats mirrors etc. There’s no visible indication that the
Mirror heater s are working. I used a clamp meter and checked the current draw.
