good day all,

Hope you all had great new years

Does anyone know when activating heated screen via VCDS on a 2024 t6.1 if is it just a case of byte 09 front screen defogger being switched to active or is there more?

Thanks in advance

i havent looked at the schematics.

but on the T6, the BCM enables the timer, and the screen is powered in two halves each with a 40A fuse each from the engine bay fuse box.

not sure if there is a relay in between the screen and the BCM output.

...

so how far have you got?

Hi dell All sorted thanks for the input I found out that in the late 6.1 it’s just activate as there is no option to chose variant. Dell you are correct two 30amp fuses one for each side a relay with a relay feed from fuse 18 in the engine fuse box and screen fed from EBox main fuses 100amp position 8. It’s all in but won’t turn on so need to trouble shoot maybe a wiring issue. First check will be the screen it’s self I will do a resistance check on the and check connections. The. Move on to wiring checks including the dreaded BCM that was a bloody nightmare to get access to when pinning that.
