T6.1 Head Unit Phone Connection

Hi,

I have a T6.1 with the standard VW head unit. The problem I've got is that when I connect my Android phone via a cable to use Android Auto it sometimes asks me to re-pair the phone and put a pin number in. It doesn't do it all the time and it's starting to get annoying! I've been through all the setting but can't find anything obvious that I'm missing?

Has anyone else had this problem and know how to resolve it so it doesn't ask me to pair the phone every time?

Yes, I'm suffering the same intermittent issue and haven't found a solution.

I also have an apple cable plugged into the second socket and this works fine on my work phone (I only ever have one phone plugged in but do leave both cables in for ease)

I've tried connecting with the Android phone locked and unlocked, before and after ignition is turned on, and plugging in before and after each option. Unfortunately I've not been able to pinpoint a combination which doesn't have the 'PIN required message'.

Oh and I did note that sometimes the SatNav will still work and appears to override the message.
