T6.1 Audio Clipping

Is anyone else suffering from this issue??

Clipping is a form of waveform distortion that occurs when an amplifier is overdriven and attempts to deliver an output voltage or current beyond its maximum capability.

This isn't the GALA thing this is actual audio clipping where the stereo turns down certain aspects of the music on a note by note basis. I took the van back to VW and they just fobbed me off with a bunch of horse radish..

I've looked into replacements but the cost is absolutely phenomenal just for a basic upgrade that doesn't even really get rid of the head unit.

the standard HU will start to cut the BASS as the volume increases, to give the effect its acutally louder.

if you want louder, look at upgrading the speakers and fitting an external amp:

I looked into doing that kind of thing myself but just don't have the time or energy to be honest so I got a quote from Advanced In-Car In Poole. He seemed a tad bit shocked to hear about the clipping issue and doesn't really know if his install will cure it..

Did your upgrades cure the clipping?
