Hi.
I'm fed up with being bounced around in my lowered 2018 T6 T32

I'm not sure if I need the whole set up or just springs/shocks. I need this soon as I am driving to Greece in April
so if anyone can help, please let me know

I don't think that @CrickCampers is on standard suspension (after speaking to him on the phone). It sounds like he has standard shocks but the springs have been replaced to lower by 40mm. He's not too sure of this, but if that is correct I imagine that reverting to a completely standard setup will increase the comfort at the cost of aesthetics?

I'm about to have another brand new set from a T30 which are coming off a brand new long wheelbase T6.1 this week. I imagine swapping over his T32 setup to this T30 setup would fix his comfort perfectly but create a palaver in down plating.

At the moment I am confused as to what I have to sell as there is some confusion over how interchangeable the suspension is between a T6 and T6.1. I have "reached out" on my other thread regarding what the differences are.

(Ha ha, I used "reached out" which has made me laugh, as I see this terminology a lot at work and regularly comment on how tw**ish this makes people sound!)

Just to clarify you cant swap between T32 and other vans. The hubs and bottom suspension mounts are different.

Also, surely the whole setup is stiffer if it is lowered, and by reverting to normal suspension and higher profile tyres, I should get a softer ride

Absolutely no idea tbh! They're t32 2019 t6 removed within 2k miles by bognor motors.

Pm me an offer if any use.

Cheers
It seems its difficult getting rid of these full standard suspension setups!

I would suggest that @CrickCampers speaks to a specialist before parting with money and time replacing suspension.

FWIW What i did was visit @BognorMotors who stock vans with different setups so that i could test drive and decide for myself on the best choice of suspension based on actual driving experience.

My knowledge of how to physically change suspension or how the different systems perform is pretty much non-existent, but as a consumer I am pretty darn fussy and like things to be right. I will fork out once and be happy. Oli and Simon at @BognorMotors eem to always facilitate this and they will give you no-nonsense advise.

(Be warned................. Oli will sell you something because he will find something that you want. This is subtlety different to an [arsehole] salesman who will sell you something that you don't need and will later regret!)

I can only apologise to Oli for referring to him as "subtlety" different to an arsehole!

BTW - @minimicks and I still have suspension for sale!....................Anyone?

(BTW - I am now on a role........ "Reached out", "FWIW" and now "BTW"!)

The quality of the ride is controlled by the shock. , changing springs to standard height won’t really do much. We remove. Brand new shocks almost daily at our store in the search for more comfort and better handling. I would also check the height of the van. Measure center of the wheel to top of the arch. The springs fitted by many camper conversion companies DONT do what they say on the tin. Largely due to the weight of the conversion. If the van is lower than 40 mm this also won’t help comfort.

At work, on "all hands" calls , my team used to play Bullsh*t Bingo (bingo, but with corporate buzzwords and phrases instead of numbers). Initially a few of the uninitiated were concerned this would distract them from the point of the call, until they cottoned on that there was never a point to those calls!

The only problem we encountered was when one guy shouted "House!, not realising the lines had just been opened for questions. Oops.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, got cho! Totally agree!" (Said nodding, in slightly bolshy London sales type accent whilst wearing cheapish suit and wearing nasty aftershave.)

Ahh yes - the sycophantic yes men (swarming around the sociopathic CEO like flies around sh*t).

Christ, I hated corporate life (not sure it shows).

Worse….west coast conferences….septic tanks randomly calling out “Awesome!” at whatever slideware twaddle was the flavour of the month and then telling anyone they knobbled during the breaks how “pumped” they were and “couldn’t wait to go sell” that slideware tripe!!!

My outfit were "headquartered" in Texas, so you were more likely to hear shouts of "Yeahaar", gunshots and a stampede in the background.
