"Switch off lights" warning message

Hi all
I have added some after market fog lights to my T6, with the lights came a new switch/controller. The new controller has an automatic headlight function. When I leave the switch in the auto position and take the key out I get a message on the dash saying "switch off lights" and it beeps 5 times. Any way of stopping this please? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul

Not sure I agree with that, my understanding is the each Byte is split in half and the second digit represents the first four bits Bit 0 carries a value of 1 Bit 1 carries a value of 2 Bit 2 carries a value of 4 Bit 3 carries a value of 8 So reducing the value by 2 can only change bit 1 There...

I think you may be misunderstanding my question. The lights and the auto function work perfectly and it did come with a sensor. I just want to remove the "switch off the lighs" message when I leave the car in auto mode. The lights don't stay on, it's just the warning message. Cheers

Is is when the coming/leaving home lights are on? Our Polo has an aftermarket auto light kit, and that bongs when the ch/lh lights are on.
