Suspension Mistake!

I think any wheels that are over sized for the vehicle will stress out gearbox and clutch.
Err, no. It’s about the rolling diameter, not the size of the rim. DSG will not care. It’s very strong and been used in some highly tuned vans.
Wider tyres will make the power steering pump work harder at lower speeds though.

Yeh that’s cool everyone has their own opinion. Everyone likes it their own way.

More about physics than my opinion...
Correct, it is about physics, however it's not just about rolling diameter though. You've also go to consider the mass of the wheel tyre combo and where that mass is in relation to the axis. A bigger, heavier wheel and slimmer tyre will put more mass further from the wheel centre increasing inertia and therefore more strain on the gearbox etc.

Err, no. It's about moving a 2-3 ton van along the road. The relative weight of the wheels and where their respective moment of inertia sits is insignificant relative to the mass of the van. Yes they drive differently due to the feedback you get, but the DSG will not notice.

You can only adjust the height not the ride quality , ( which isnt the best on B 14 ) the set up is very sport orientated wiuth mono tube dampers which are notoriously firm . there are much better systems around for that money nowadays

What about the New Bilstein Komforts ??
