Hi 204 DSG Highline Kombi. Can the electric sunroof be programmed to auto close if it starts raining (via the auto windscreen wipers) ??

There is a rain closing function in VCDS but not aware of anyone getting it to work yet

Hi Pauly , I have to code the sunroof for my van , do you know what I have to change in the BCM ?
hi pauly, it seems that you are a real sunroof pro. as i plan to install a t5-sunroof in my t6, i would have to program the bcm, but i have no idea how. can you please, please help or do you know anyone woh is able to tell me how i have to do this and what changes have to be made in the t6 bmc? thank you so much for any help! cheers, jawu

Are you wanting to do it yourself with VCDS?
Otherwise you will probably need to find a VW independant workshop do do it for you.

hello manfrotto, i know a guy nearby with a vcds who also knows to handle it, but he needs the exact bytes and bits to activate the VW sunroof control unit 6RD959591in the T6-BCM-system. could you help me finding the necessary bytes and bits?
best regards

I don't have a sunroof on my van so cannot give you information for coding, but my understanding is that the coding for closing the windows when it rains also closes the sunroof, so maybe give that a try.

This is the coding from Robert:

Auto Window closing with rain

Apply the following coding modifications:

(X) ---> any letter

BCM - 09 7E0937090(X)
Byte 3 should to be set to BF(hex)
Byte 4 should to be set to 48(hex)

RLS - Subsystem 1 5K7955559(X)
Byte 0 has to be changed from 02(hex) to 07(hex) ---> effectively bit 0 & bit 2 need to be ticked

DOOR MODULE - Subsystem 2 - 7E0 959 801(X)
Let's try with default coding

DOOR MODULE - Subsystem 3 - 7E0 959 802(X)
Let's try with default coding

Once coding is completed make sure that "one-touch" function works on both front door windows.

If not, perform restoring window one-touch operation from driver switches.
• Close all windows and doors.
• Pull up both switches for the windows and hold them in this position for at least one second.
• Let go of the switches then pull them up again and hold them in this position until you hear click.

Alternative methods of restoring window one-touch operation below.

Next step is to leave windscreen wiper stalk in AUTO position while ignition is ON.
Lower your window/windows partly/fully down.
Then switch OFF ignition and close all doors.

Now you can spray/splash/sprinkle water on your windscreen RLS sensor in two scenarios ( vehicle unlocked & vehicle locked ).
