Steering Wheel Play.

ended up doing it. It’s really easy to change.

Small panel off in the cabin behind the foot pedals.

Remove the factory carpet (bend it back like I did)

Remove the linkage (spline and 16mm)

Remove 3, 13mm bolts holding it in the chassis

Take off drivers wheel

Remove the linkage (spline and 16mm)

Job done!

No more play as well… was crazy how just a tiny bit of play in this had such a big effect at the steering wheel. Feels much better and tighter.

New one was too expensive for me. Ended up getting a second hand low mileage one from eBay for £40!

I replaced one of these inner tie rods - my MOT guy said there was slight wear.
The one I took off was fine and I couldn’t find anything wrong but it did make a difference!

I've been having the same issue for some time now. I dont suppose you know the code for the part you replaced? 😬
