Sound deadening already done?

Hi all, just removing interior panels of my Kombi in prep for sound deadening and insulation, there is a fair amount of sound deadening already in there, is this standard or us someone half done it already? Just wondering whether it’s worth putting in the dodo mat or not? Thanks.

yeah that looks pretty OEM and basic, would do more as suggested!

Was like that in mine, ripped the soft fibre pads out - the glue and leftover was crap to scrape off - then dodomat and extreme thermolined over their deadening pads.

If you pull the foam pads off the remaining sticky mess lifts off easily with a scraper and a mild solvent. Nothing too strong as it will evaporate too quickly, something like white spirit. As you'll see from many soundproofing threads the big square panels in the window apertures can be left in. It's more hassle than its worth to get them off and silent coat etc. sticks on just fine.
What you have is indeed standard.
