@Adamlewis1988 didn’t mention how loaded his current van is.
Similar suspension setups are bound to give different results comparing a ‘full camper’ with an almost empty van.
My LWB T32 Kombi has a completely different ride empty to when loaded a couple of hundred kg.
No problem, have a laugh if you want.
The points still stand though.
Looking at two struts on a bench at full extension doesn’t tell you where either damper is sitting in its stroke once fitted to the van at ride height, how much usable bump travel is left, or when it’s getting into the bump stop.
The advertised drop range doesn’t tell you that either. That’s just the adjustment window on the threaded body, not the damper’s working position once the van is actually set up.
So if I’m wrong, explain which part of that is wrong and why.

Yeah fair point, I have a terrible assumption that everyone's vans are campers of some sort!
I remember an old XR2 I had, put any weight in the boot and it handled incredibly compared to empty!

I didn’t criticise you, your setup or your preferred brand. I questioned the logic behind comparing two struts on a bench and using headline drop figures to explain ride quality.
The point I made was simply that looking at them at full extension doesn’t tell you where the damper is sitting in its stroke once it’s on the van at ride height, how much usable bump travel is left, or when the bump stop starts doing the work.
That’s a technical point about how suspension behaves on the vehicle, not a criticism of anyone.
So far that’s the part that still hasn’t been addressed.

I'm very happy with the Definition kit from CRS, but I have no plan or indeed desire to slam the van and made the decision off of reviews on this here site. Van is part converted at present for the record, and once all the furniture is in the back, I've been told to revisit them to get it re-aligned. Top stuff

Historically when i tell people what's wrong with their vehicle or suspension , there will be someone who disagrees and starts a Bar fight . You will notice that i blanked of the logos to avoid conflict in this case . BUT, To remind you , you commented on a picture that i posted 4 or 5 months ago saying you didnt agree with my assessment of the customers complaints and my explanation of its cause because of a picture of two struts ??? . The picture clearly shows the problem and why the customer was having issues thats why i posted it . i dont know why you cant understand the issue ?? .
