Sliding door handle/mechanism

Hello. Hoping somebody can help me with my issue. On my sliding door I have to pull the handle right out until it let's the door open. When I do this the mechanism makes like a bang noise which isn't normal because I have a mate who also has a t6 and his handle only has to be brought out abit and the latch opens very easily. I will try attach a video later. But wanted to see was the problem a latch or handle or both? Thanks
