Sliding door extra seal?

Hi All

I resently traveled in the rear of my SWB twinslider and noticed that a lot of road noise came from around the sliding doors. I have sound insulated a lot of areas already. I also fitted the extra seals to the front doors, so I was thinking is there something similar for the sliding doors??

Did you ever do your sliding doors with extra seals?

I've just done front doors too & had noticed the sliding doors on my kombi I can hear a lot of road noise & spray noise in rain. The factory rubbers are in place & not perished but not doing the job for a bit of extra quietness.

I have bought the rubber seals for sliding doors as I installed on the front doors but where to position them on sliding doors for extra sealing & less road noise?

I have put a good layer of silent coat in the inside of the door... works like a charm.

Mine too has the sound proofing in the panel. No insulation yet but I can hear the wind & rain spray mostly in the passenger side door when driving. I haven't sat in the back but kid is always saying "I can't hear you" over the wind noise in the back. Sounds like a gap in the sliding door closing to me from drivers seat. Right side seems similar

I added the extra sliding door seals to the rear upright shut line on the sliding doors. It seems like a logical location where there's currently no seal except for the inner seal. I did note quite a lot of dirt and grim on the bottom of the door there before cleaning it and sticking the seal on. Note also this is one of the 10 mm seals not the larger 16 mm seals that go on the front. The 10 mm fits into the existing shutline on the van body when the door shuts. Will see how it goes but probably won't make much difference. If it gets rid of the spray noise from rain I'll be considering it a result.
