my side bars have rust bubbles and they’re not even too years old. is it worth sanding them down and re spraying?

My bars are rusting on the ends, as usual, too. I too am keen as to whether a decent wire brush and proper powder coating is better longer term than just buying the usual set which are reasonable but will need replacing yet again?

I got a pair that had rust bubbles and had them re powdered. They look brand new still. Not sure for how long. But the powder coaters told me the best way was to buy stainless steel versions and colour them in black. They last the longest

I’m in the exact same boat.
2 years old and just noticed rust bubbles on them.
They are black

I think this will be the route I go down or swap them out for the black steps you get.
@Drive Wayne has a set on his van and I think they are cool.
