I dont 'do' AT's cuz 99% of my use is on road and i'm loathed to buy a noisier tyre with a less road based focus .
Just my personal opinion, but I wouldnt say the Wildpeaks are a noisy tyre. And I was getting 36mpg coming home from a trip fully loaded with two ebikes on the back. Admittedly I had cruise set @ 65mph, but I was pretty happy with that. Used them in all weathers and not found them to be any less sure footed, and I like to press on generally.

There are ATs, and there are ATs. Cooper, for example, do five different ATs from mild to wild. I went for the Cooper Discoverer ATT due to their fairly continuous tread pattern - not at all noisy and they behave in the manner of regular tyres in the wet, yet they still look butch and shrug off potholes.
