I've got the same dilemma coming up for my daughter @Fish , unfortunately sold my splitscreen :(
Maybe worth contacting some of the local classic car clubs in your area, they are always willing to show off there pride and joy, I was asked to do a couple of weddings in mine, and didn't charge

Just be mindful of the law. I run a pair of 1929 vintage cars (primarily for weddings) but the law changed at least 10 years ago now. All fare paying passenger vehicles must comply with private hire licenses! My local council gave me an official warning to cease prom, golden wedding, 80th birthdays, theatre nights, trip to the races etc. Only weddings and funerals are exempt of private hire licence. Crazy I know but that is the law. The modern stretch limos flouted the law and ruined it for everyone.
Here the council stand with cameras at the prom venue or look in the local newspapers and track you down!

However. If your doing it as a friend of the family at no charge then you are not carrying fare paying passengers and your standard insurance will cover you and you won't require the private hire license from your council.

I looked into this as I did get quite a few non wedding jobs but the council will only issue a private hire on a vehicle up to 7 years old which can then run until it's 9 years old, the costs, medical, only one person can ever drive it, another mot type test, seat belts etc etc it was impossible in any event for me as mine are well over 80 years old.

Bob sleigh with team of Lycra clad pushers?
Females of course :)

:fast rofl:
Brillant ideas.. think the teachers may rasie an eyebrow over the lycra..

Thanks.

Thats crazy, had no idea it could be so anal..

Took my son on the back of my GS.......trickled past all the open top buses, limos etc and was surprised to hear from security that it was the first time someone had arrived on the back of a bike, and we are talking a major Bristol venue here.

Harley Davidson, contact your local HDRCGB CLUB either on Facebook or via tye web page for a local rider volunteer

Seen many a person arrive in a Fire Engine. Best one I ever heard of was a pair of goths arriving laid down in the back of a hearse.

How about a self propelled ketter go-kart, or a bright orange Bond Bug?
Just thinking of weird things.

The Harley Davidson Club would probably be able to provide an escort as well. I know my Plymouth Chapter used to do it.
