Hi,

I'm Sam from The Netherlands.
Recently I bought a VW Transporter T6 from Belgium. I searched quit some time to find a T6 that had the specs I wanted, my wish list contained the following:
- 110kW (not negotiable)
- Long wheel base (also not negotiable)
- 4motion
- DSG
- Double cab (The Netherlands has some very specific rules for cargo vans with 5 seats in conjunction with lower road tax)
- Heated windscreen
- Heated front seats
- Barn doors
- Preferably sliding doors on both sides

The T6 I found (build late 2018, MY2019) has quite some experience, it has done 330.000km, but I have the full service record and was always dealer maintained. I bought I form the first owner.
It has all the things listed above but is also fitted with LED headlights, ACC, rear diff lock (very happy with that one!!), rear view camera, folding mirrors, tow bar, rain sensor and discover Media head unit. (probably forgot some options, but you get the point).

One thing I miss is PDC, so that's on the list for retrofitting.
Also the grill (next to the VW logo) is broken due to a bird striking it. So one of the first things is will be taking the bumper off, replacing the gril, fitting the front PDC sensors and front fog lights.
Any other things I should put on the list while the front bumper is off?

Here is a bit of my wanted/to do list:
- Wheels and tires
- Rear speakers
- Subwoofer
- Upgrading front speakers (if there's money left)
- Under bumper LED reversing lights
- Lazer grill lights
- Front tow hooks
- Rear tow hooks
- Rubber mats front and back
- Wind deflectors on the front windows
- Hill decent button installation
- Rear bumper protection (loading and unloading)
- Install a diesel engine preheater (planning to go to the North Cape in February with the family)

Pff, that's a long and expensive list.

I already replaced the Discover Media head unit with a newer version that included DAB+. After purchasing I noticed half of the radio touch screen was unresponsive, so I swapped it with a DAB+ model which already had the screen replaced with a genuine Technisat one. Ended up only paying 250 euros with trade in of my "broken" unit.

Last Friday I went to the RDW (DVSA) and applied for a licensplate, it got approved and today they issued the license plate. I'm now waiting on the paperwork so I can get the actual plates made and start driving.

I plan to keep this T6 for a long time, so investing in it pays off in joy and comfort. The only thing is the milage, am I wrong to invest in a T6 that already has 330dkm on the clock?

Greetings from The Netherlands,
Sam
