This is rear right on the T6. The panel that the sliding mechanism sits under is rubbing off the lower rear panrl. Do they usually rust in this spot because one panel rubbed off the other?

It looks like the removable panel is too close as it’s not flush with the lower panel. I’ve never removed one but I have read that the clips generally need replacing when removed and that they can let rain leak inside.
I suspect the removable panel has not been fitted back correctly.
