Route from solar panel to behind the ply between the C and D pillars?

Basically I'm going to install the cables for a solar panel. Before I start taking panels off I wanted to know if there is a route from behind the pop top panel labelled 1 to behind the panel labelled 2.

Or do I have to go down the C pillar?

It will depend on the construction of the poptop frame and how it’s mounted to the vehicle. Can you not just pop the 2 panels off and see if there is a suitable route? You will need to do that to feed the cables anyhow as any route will be pretty torturous. I have a wardrobe in my van so couldn’t get to the corner without taking it out so couldn’t see an obvious path. Instead my cables come out right at the end of panel 1 and are exposed behind the wardrobe.

Mine is the same as above. Is exposed outside the carpet lining at the top corner.

You can go straight down the B pillar. You can see the holes on the left, they are just behind the carpet panel

Thanks. I forgot about that route. I think that’s the pillar right at the back by the tailgate.
On another point, is that a WiFi router to the right of the photo? What’s the mobile signal like mounted inside a metal panel with the silent coat on? Cheers

Yeah sorry, should have read the D pillar. The WiFi module is an interface for the lights, not a router

As above. You can route down through grommit over rear threshold and feed to rear off side D pillar and down. There are three holes down the upper vertical you can come out of and route through insulation.

Yeah that should be possible. You might need to route upwards from the area by wheel arch with a pull wire and then you can pull PV wire back down. The vertical route i highlighted is a channel on it's own. The vertical route you highlighted in green goes down inside the actual pillar and isn't an option for wire routing I believe.

Just go red route then over the horizontal metalwork (depending on thickness of cables).

i did think of this but I doubt it will work. The ply board is fixed there and the cables would push it out and then push the furniture out unfortunately. I might need to drill a hole in the horizontal metal bar.

You can route behind here. What I meant was, it's easier to feed conduit/cable up from wheel arch area to the first hole and then loop on and pull cable down. So you can route a pull cable all the way down but it can be tricky to get it out at the right there below the horizontal bit (the blank window sill). Am happy to come over for an aft to supervise hehe

Ah. To be honest that’s the route I meant. My line drawing skills (on the phone) are not as good as yours. Haha, your welcome to come and supervise. In fact Its just stopped peeing down. I might put the pop top up now for a look.
