Okay so a random one
Got a second hand 22 plate with roof rails that look like OEM - so I’m guessing they were fitted by VW along with sidebars and bits.
Just noticed on the footing above the passenger door, there’s what appears to be a type of hair packing coming from under the footing. It’s deffo not snagged from something.
Was going to pull it out but wondered if say any type of packing is used to help waterproofing at all when fitting. Images are taken after cutting it back a bit
