Reversing Up My Tight Drive With Wing Mirrors Folded In, Any Ideas?

Hi,
When my new T6 arrives I would like to be able to reverse it up my drive and park it in front of my garage doors.
The driveway is tight, the van will go up the drive but with the wing mirrors folded in.
I've had an idea to buy some suction pad reverse mirror and stick them to the side windows to give me some assistance whilst reversing up the drive.
Anyone else got an idea? cheers.
John

To be honest when the mirrors fold "in" they still stick out pretty much the same distance from the door panel as when in the normal use position.
The mirrors pretty well swing upwards through an arc like on a BMW 3 series so they can collect rain water just like a 3 series... unless that's just my T6?

Granted they don't fold in that much but it's not quite as bad as that, mine won't fit in my garage with them out but when they're folded it fits in with 20mm either side. It's deceptive though, it does look as if they stick out the same

Yes it's got one but I don't have much experience with them, how accurate are the lines that appear on the screen, can you easily use them as a guide?
Yes to using the guide lines. Example being that when lines up on a parking bay markings the van is centralised between the white lines.

You could try using a smart phone in selfie mode held out of the window or on a stick for the passenger side, bit of a small image though.

A clip on door mirror might help. This type of unit 3" STAINLESS STEEL CLAMP CLIP ON DOOR OVERTAKING PEEP MIRROR CLASSIC US CARS | eBay

I would go for a fool proof idea as suggested by @Loz. Screw something to the driveway surface that will guide your wheels down the middle. A bit like in a drive through carwash.
I would bolt down two long lengths of second hand scaffold tubes, low enough to not rub on alloys but strong enough to guide you through. Easy to drill and bolt through. :)

Just don't do what my brother-in-law did.

T6 Caravelle with powered doors on both sides.

Has to reverse in and park really tight to the wall on the nearside.

Went to open the door and pressed the remote button activating the wrong door. Door then pops out against wall and slides along against wall until fully open. Ouch...................................
