Renogy DCDC 50 lights and display always on?

I’ve just finished fitting and connecting a few electrical bits I’ve had sat around; I finally made the time to get on with it today!

The install was fine and everything works…..but the 2 DCDC charger LEDs for ‘Service Battery Indicator’ and ‘Battery Type Indicator’ are on permanently? The monitoring screen information (not the backlight) stays on all the time as well? I figure it may just be normal, but I’d appreciate it if somebody with the same Renogy charger can confirm?

Normal. There is a page in the manual that describes what the various lights mean. Battery type indicator stays lit with the colour to signify which battery. Service battery indicator is green yellow or red depending on voltage.

That’s great - thanks for the quick reply

All makes sense and even though they’re a really low current draw, I’m always wary of things draining power (albeit very slowly!).
