Rear Wipers Fault

Hello,

Just bought a used Transporter with splitted rear doors. Sometimes, when I wipe the rear windows, the wipers don’t turn off when I set the stock to «Off». They continue to wipe untill I restart the car.
Someone have a clue what can cause this/ where to start check?

You need to be looking at the rear wiper motor assembly and especially the position/limit switches within it.

Maybe give the motor assembly a good whack with a screwdriver handle for now to free up the switch....

Possible switch issues,
Corrosion.
Burned contact.
Stuck.
Broken.

I'll see if I can dig out the schematic later.........

It sounds like the park switch in the wiper has failed.
