Rear view mirror/blank

Hi all,
bit of advice please - I'm going to fit a rear view mirror with a built in reversing camera - I have the "blanking mount" in place currently.

How do I get it off?

I tried twisting it (unsuccessfully), but don't want to break anything by forcing it.

Can you post a picture of what you have ?
If you have auto wipers then the sensor is built into the mirror base mount

pic attached - the new Mirror is OEM, the Camera mirror will attach to that

Not sure I would recommend removing that, i think its bonded to the screen
Talk to a windscreen fitter/company and see what they say but I have been told in the past that removing them invariably leads to a broken screen

Update: According to VW this should just twist off - 90 degrees twist and pull...

hello, im in the process of doing a rear view mirror camera thingy!! can you remember what bracket you had to order to fit the T6 - was it No.3a from the pictures they give you?? appreciate your help
