Rear view camera can't be retrofitted

I didn't spec a rear view camera because I was going to use an alpine one with my alpine head unit.

I bought everything.

Van arrived and tailgate models are completely solid unlike the removable trim piece on the t5.

There is no way to install it without cutting the metal between the 2 registration plate lights.

Uber Gay that is.

Can't install my camera now. I'm going to have to be careful now. I hate being careful.

We installed one on a T6 tailgate. Just used a hole cutter, then painted it to stop it rusting. The hardest bit was getting the wiring down through the tailgate, the side are very narrow

I'll just sell mine on. Can't be bothered cutting the metal out. Plus mine is square cube camera. I thought it would be a plastic removable trim piece.

Same here I retro fitted a factory camera to mine and cut a 42mm square hole with a fein saw and treated the edges to protect against the dreaded rust
