Rattles and squeaks

Had a passenger side dash rattle annoying me for a while so stripped all the glove box out and tie wrapped a couple of cables etc to no avail.

I found it was the A pillar cover tapping against the dashboard at the lower edge, so inserted an Ikea dark grey furniture pad in the slot and its cured. (Trixig - 50p for 20)

Just the squeaky drivers seat to sort but expect this is the swivel!

On a similar topic was watching a video recently where the mechanic used a fabric tape (tesa ??) on a door card where the trim clips attached to the door card, to give some cushioning / extra interference fit between the clip & door card. Something I’ll make a mental note of!

I have a really annoying one which is the passeneger seatbelt. Im not sure if its the adjustable bit on the pillar (the buckle type bit) or the cover that slides up and down.

I thought of this thread then I heard the latest 'noise'.
There's that much going on in a normal van, let alone a fully converted camper I expect a new tune everytime I get a day of silence. 😁

Door rattle. I've had this frustrating rattle coming from my drivers door. It's driving me mad. I tried all the usual suspects but to no avail. If I pulled up on the outer edge of the lower door bin it stopped. So off with the door card again, nothing obvious. I then got some cloth tape and put a single wrap around the door striker. The silver bit the door lock grips. BINGO. Rattle gone. Happy days.

I had annoying rattle/thump that I was convinced was coming from under my feet whilst driving. I even booked it in to CRS convinced it was a suspension issue.
It turned out it was my fire extinguisher in the very back of the van that had come adrift with its bracket and was rolling and bumping on any major turn of the wheel or braking.
Amazing how these 'sounds' travel through the van!

Mine was rattling like a good un and then I noticed one of the tailgate stops was missing the rubber ring part. I ordered and installed a new one, and its made a significant difference. The van is getting very close to car like refinement.

I am pretty sure my California twin seat in the rear has developed a rattle. But I've no idea about how to find it. lol
