Possibly Alternator Fault

Hi all,

Sorry for the long post but best to put it all down to hopefully help me,

New to T6 ownership and currently bought a 2016 T6 LWB shuttle DSG with stop/start, drove it home aprox 2hour journey and all seemed ok, but after playing around with it and kids excited looking around and having doors open and closed ect so stationary for a couple of days, i noticed the next start was a bit of a struggle to move it slightly, anyway after a couple more days went to start and battery completely flat and wouldn't start, We were running a bit a late so In a rush as we were all packed I jumped started the van with our other car and unfortunately crossed the terminals, bit of sparks from other car end and cables got a bit warm, realised mistake and swapped over and van started straight away but Autobox wouldn't engage due to the low battery.

So i bought a brand new AGM battery and fitted it and van started straight away, (admittedly I didn't code the battery at that time as read it should be ok) not fault lights showing. Got about 60miles into the journey and broke down as battery completely flat again!

I did a test on the output of the alternator's main cable and i am only seeing 11.5V so battery isnt charging, even when lights on, i did hear the engine rev a bit higher but still the same voltage. I also ran a diagnostic check which is showing the following :

01-Engine -- Status: Malfunction 0010
02-Auto Trans -- Status: OK 0000
03-ABS Brakes -- Status: Malfunction 0010

I believe i have now coded the battery using VCDS but not sure completely if i did it correctly, I saw in vcds a section and entered the new bem code but i dont think that would cause it not to charge?

So question is, none of the main fuses have blown under battery tray or next to battery, I cant check the fuses inside as how do you access these as once taking cover off its still behind trim so how do you even pull them out or put leads on to measure?

So before i replace the alternator could it be that its being told not to charge? I removed the battery monitor plug on negative and that made no difference, do i need to remove the linbus cable on alternator to really prove its the alternator not working although looks impossible to get to and try pull it off?

Could i have damaged the sensor unit on the negative of the battery? There are no fault lights showing on the dashboard.

Thanks

I also ran a diagnostic check which is showing the following :
It seems that you have stripped out a lot of relevant data. E.g. fault codes alone do not indicate exactly which controller they relate to.

I removed the battery monitor plug on negative and that made no difference,
This indeed suggests alternator failure as the voltage would stay at 13.4 V without LIN connection.
