Poptop wind deflector loose

Hi all

First time owner of a van with pop top! Think I’ve mastered putting it up and down, but noticed on drive home today more wind noise than usual? The straps are tight and the roof rubber is pressed to the bodywork, the only thing I could find is that the rubber wind deflector has come loose on one side? I’ve ordered some heavy duty 3m tape to stick it down as I’m hopeless with sealant.

Also is there such a thing as a clips to backup the ratchet on the straps? I’m scared it’ll pop open!

Thanks

Show us a photo of the set up, what brand roof / converter?
If in doubt don’t drive it until it’s evaluated / fixed, it could get expensive.

Sorry it’s the rubber wind deflector, not the rubber on the pop top?
Yes, if it’s not deflecting the wind as designed it’s going to get under the roof, hence the extra noise.

Ah okay. It’s only come off about an inch, so I’ll get it stuck back down. I think I may have over tightened the roof too so I’ve let that out a touch. It’s all a learning curve!
