The paint finish on the front wind deflector for my Reimo Easifit pop top has deteriorated to the point where I need it sorted out.
The worst part is in the centre and I’m pretty sure it’s caused by the air turbulence / suction at that point on the roof as I’ve seen similar in the marine world with water flow.
I’m reluctant to get it repainted as it will simply repeat and need doing again unless helicopter tape or similar is applied.
I’m considering getting it prepped and vinyl wrapped, it’s quite a complicated shape with some tight curves in the recess and the joint between the spoiler / original roof is Sikaflex adhesive.

My initial investigation has taught me that some vinyl wrapping is done with an adhesive to extend the life of the coating.
Are there different gauges of vinyl wrap, thicker being more durable but harder to form?
Any GRP / vinyl wrapping experts out there? Or recommendations for vinyl wrap specialists?
