Poptop - trim canvas before carpeting

Mine was supplier fitted. I think it had a metal strip trapping the fabric down, and the fabric was trimmed tight to it.
The supplier recommended I trim the side flashings separately- unscrew the beam, and trim the walls behind. Then trim the beam to get a crisp finish, and also trap carpet underneath it to prevent squeaks.

We leave one inch of canvas after the fixing trim.
We glue this down with spray glue then cut.

We have a couple of different methods depending on which staff is doing it.
It can be filled with sealer to smooth out the drop, or little angled shaped batton to suit shape.
We always stock wurth, but it's not to important as it's not structural, just more filling a gap.
I had various layers of 9 mm foam, and trimmed and carved to make transitions between different sections.
Yes all holes not being used should be taped over to stop the dust stains from forming in years to come.

Peel it back abit, re glue and pull downwards and diagonally.
