Will gloss black be cheaper? I think my quote was cheaper because the black is a cheaper/more available wrap? Why can’t they colour match for paint, it must have been colour matched in the first place as it wasn’t standard (unless it’s a California)Booked in today for gloss black as all the blues weren’t close.
Will report back!
They prob could colour match the paint, I just got a bit nervous about the sanding and repainting (guided by the body shop guys nervousness around causing more damage). Will gloss black be cheaper? I think that works well with your other black accents. Maybe wheels next…! . Hopefully you’re happy and that pain is over. I might have to go down the same route in time. But as Pearl Black van, black gloss wrap might be distinguishable.
Could I ask what wrap was used and did they have to put a joint in it anywhere Thanks
Me? Wrapping it at home? No definitely not, others possibly could. The price was originally £400 for the wrap but ended up paying more as he wanted to polish off all the crap I’d put on there so he did about a 1/2 a day of prep@cgtmiles Do you reckon this is the sort of thing you could do at home, on the drive, obviously not while it's windy, raining, or too cold... basically, is it expensive?![]()
Not sure what the wrap was exactly just a relatively hard wearing gloss black. Yes he did a strip down the middle then bits down the side so if you look closely it looks a bit like a vinyl roof does just without the prominent stitch workCould I ask what wrap was used and did they have to put a joint in it anywhere Thanks
Wish I watched this video before I tried using that Polytrol on my black Skyline roof last year .I was putting it on with a cloth and was rubbing in like Polish which helped but didn't realise I just need to brush it on and leave it to dry. Today my cherry Red T6 is at a detailing company poshing the van but as told me that he's finding it hard to polish the roof back to as new , also now recommending to have a protective coat done on it for another £550 .For Polytrol results have a nose at this…..
Hi mate, im guessing the panel had to come off to wrap it? Think mines tigersealed on
Did you use extra wide vinyl or the standard size to cover the roof. If standard size, where are the joins?Hi mate, im guessing the panel had to come off to wrap it? Think mines tigersealed on
