"Pilot learning mode?"

Does anyone know if the ECU fitted to the T6 has a 'Pilot learning mode'?

Have read various quotes over the years about ECU's adapting and then fixing a vehicles fuelling to the style in which the vehicle is driven over it's early miles. Is this just myth or could my half distance wafter style be buggered because the previous owner was a right clog and anchor?

Wondering if this could explain the variation in folks MPG figures.

The vans do adapt to driving style but I don't think it's as fixed as you think, if I push my van ie using sport mode and kickdown (DSG) it changes and drives more aggressively, it shifts gears differently and selects lower gears when going down hill etc, I have discussed this with my local dealer (whilst discussing some ongoing gearbox issues I have) and they confirmed this element of the van and also confirmed they have been clearing it during service visits (again based on my ongoing gearbox issues) and although they didn't confirm it is my belief it operates on a journey basis and doesn't seem to carry over into different trips/days
