Been noticing that the dc-dc piggy back on my fuse board appears to be oriented opposite to other installs pictured on the forum. Looking at the photo of the sockets below, the presence of the more golden / shiny connectors on the right makes me think my piggy is indeed the wrong way round and not fuse protected. Surely VW wire these fuse blocks the same, live on the right facing side, for e.g.

I think the wire should be coming out the other side and the fuse upright from memory

Yes, that piggy back is upside down.
 
Which side of the fuse is positive? I notice that some of the fuses have rating number inverted to the others.
