Hi Folks,
Thinking of buying one of these pedal locks for a bit of added security, has anyone else purchased one? do they fit the T6 pedals ok?
Thanks download.jpg

I looked at these, nice and cheap and another layer of security to slow down a theft... However... Go and look at how fat the pedal arm is on the pedals in your T6. I wrote it off as could not see it fitting over the pedal arm.
Let me know if you get one that fits though. :)

Safe T pedal - search on here or

Google is your friend, its not copying for me.

Hi, Just got a pedal lock for my T6, started getting jittery reading about camper thefts, "Bullock Excellence for auto."
More than pleased with it, nice build, good fit. Easy to slip on and off and store in cab.
Another layer of security/deterrent for a bit more peace of mind.
Web site not great for info but took a punt and found it comes with spare (balls) to fit various vehicles.

Glad that you are pleased with it.

More than happy with mine.
Mine resides wedged between the passenger front (single) seat and the handbrake surround. I’ve stuck some non slip material along the under edge that rests on the seat base, it stays put and doesn’t rattle.

Ordered a Safe T Pedal lock direct from Shire Fabrications last week, and was a bit worried as I hadn't received a confirmation of the order, or the payment that they took right away. They failed to reply to my emails so I had to phone to see what was happening. It appears there is a back log in production due to the demand for T6 versions. So if you are waiting for yours, that's the reason for the delay.

The pedal lock arrived 2 days after the above post, first class delivery service. Unfortunately the customer care is still non existent, when I unpacked the lock it was obvious that the powder coating was of a very poor quality, with it being very thin in parts and flaking off around the lock mechanism. I've phoned (right to answer phone) and emailed with images, but have not received a reply from either.

Apart from the finish the lock looks a first class bit of kit, I know it won't stop a full on Scally theft, but it looks like it will slow them down.

I use this pedal lock from lock down secure. It arrived in a couple days and is very strong and well made. Easy to clamp on and the bright orange colour makes it visible when peering in. It also stows away under the handbrake nicely when I'm not using it. Great value!

If you get a chance, could you post a pic of that pedal lock showing it in your stowed away position under the handbrake ??

Cheers

To my simple brain, the problem with these things is that unless you have a visual deterrent as well, the thieving toerags might already have done some damage in order to get inside the van before seeing the pedal lock. A friend of mine has one (don't know what sort, sorry) which looks good but he's also got a sticker in the window that says something like 'This car is protected by Acme Pedal Lock'. I reckon that all that does is tell the thief to go away, do some research and come back later with the right kit to crack it. After thinking about it, he also bought a Stoplok Pro. That said, if they really want something, they will get it eventually and the key is to make it look difficult enough that they go and visit the bloke up the road instead. That's my view anyway - I've never stolen anything in my life but I do always put myself in the position of a potential thief and act accordingly. It also helps that I have spent a large part of my life working in an environment where personal security was very important. My personal approach to the van is a Stoplok Pro and Autowatch Ghost.

Here’s a pic of mine on and stowed away.

@Ayjay correct, if they want to get it off they will. If anything this will deter some thief’s who can’t be bothered to tackle it or even slow down the ones that try. For me, I’ll do anything to prevent the van being stolen or even better give me enough time to spot them.

As you can see this thing is bright orange and easily spotted peering through the window. I also got stickers for the window but not sure they would be bothered to read or probably can’t read. I like the fact that the lock itself stands out. I also have a dislock on, plus ghost and tracker. So they would need a lorry and crane to take the van.

Cool thanks ... that looks pretty snugly stored. Are you 2+1 seating in the front??
