I know the drivers doesn't have occupancy sensor as it's assumed you are sat in it driving so no need. Can't help with others. Does your paying less passenger have an occupancy pad installed into it?
The bench has wires coming from each seatbelt, and the base which I assume are linked to the occupancy sensors.
Both cables trail round to near the yellow airbag connector, but I can’t tell without removing the seat if they connect into the airbag connector or one of the other (brown, green, white) connectors nearby.
The passenger has a yellow connector only. If on the bench they are connected via one of the non-yellow connections then there isn’t the equivalent on the single. Hoping to understand if that will cause me an issue.
I believe there are 2 seperate occupancy sensors and obviously 2 seatbelt buckles wires. And I also believe the seatbelt light on the dash will only light if 1 of the 2 occupancy sensors is triggered.

Yep, there are. And I’ve just had another good look under the passenger single I’ve purchased and can’t see any wires coming from the seatbelt or signs of wires from the seat base… the only connector is this yellow one for the airbag.
I’ve had a look on eBay, and can’t see any captains that appear to have occupancy connectors. So assume either:
1) occupancy and seatbelt all feed into the yellow airbag connector on both the bench and the captain. Once new seat connected will operate correctly
2) the captain doesn’t have an occupancy sensor, but my van will be looking for confirmation that someone is sat in the passenger and seatbelt connected. If it doesn’t get these, airbag won’t fire.
Can anyone confirm? And if it’s 2, can that be coded out so van knows what to look for
