Oil change intervals?

VW are telling me my 22 reg T6.1 can go 20k or 2 years between oil change.

We did first oild and filter change at 16k miles 18 months ago. Now at 30k van computer said oil change needed with 300 miles.

We are heading to Norway next week, and VW couldn't get us booked in, so we went to KwikFit for the oild and filter change. They told me after that it is next due in 6k or six months.

That's a big change from what VW tells me. Which is correct? Or something in between?

Our T6.1 was registered on the 31st May 2023 and I’ve just received a call from VW saying it’s ready for its first service in April!
What’s the general service interval? It’s done 6800 miles if that matters.

I asked if there was a better long life oil that could be used, and they said that was the only oil that their system says is for that vehicle.

Did I blow it by going to Kwik Fit? We are driving to Norway next week so reluctantly used them as they could get us in.

I'm surprised they didn't try to sell you 4 new tyres because your old ones were down to 6mm of tread!
