OEM Centre Hubs on Aftermarket Flat Boys

I’ve bought some OEM VW centre hubs to replace my, now faded, Steel Wheel Company ones. Tried them and the clips to the wheel bolts are much wider. @Skyliner33 said a few of you guys and girls may have used hose offcuts to make them fit. Have any of you did this with success or am I looking for new bolts?

Also, any pics of them on 18” Flat Boys?

My steel rims look superficially similar . If you fined a cover for the centre of the wheel put it up here because I could do with some also. gets a little rusty and muddy.

I’ve got a plan. I’ve got some 65mm centre caps from my old wheels and the OD of the hubs is 65mm. I’ve bought some 65mm ID silicone pipe which I’m going to cut down into short sleeves, slip them over the hubs and seat the caps inside. Hopefully there’s enough interference to be secure. If not, I’ll whack some silicone sealant or glue in there. Watch this space.
