vw centre hub

I’ve bought some OEM VW centre hubs to replace my, now faded, Steel Wheel Company ones. Tried them and the clips to the wheel bolts are much wider. @Skyliner33 said a few of you guys and girls may have used hose offcuts to make them fit. Have any of you did this with success or am I looking...
