235/65 R16 on Steel wheels 6x7

Hi all,

I’ve just bought 16 inch steels 7 inch width with 45 ETD

I’m deciding between 225/65 or 235/65 for tyres. I don’t want to add any spacers.

Has anyone got any real world experience with either of these? There seems more choice for the 235 which is why I was considering them. Speedo error seems fine for both of them.

The wheels came from rogue alloys. Slightly wider than oem (7) and ETD 45 rather than 51.

It’s a T6.1 T30

Thanks in advance

First question - Have you checked that the rims fit on OK ?- clear the brake calipers, correct centre bore, PCD and weight loading.

The consensus in forum discussions is that this size typically fits on standard suspension T6/T6.1 vans without rubbing issues, even without spacers. The slightly wider wheel width and lower offset you have (ET45 instead of the standard ET51) actually help push the wheel out slightly, further reducing the chance of inner arch/shock absorber contact.
Thank you. Store confirmed also it’s a good setup.
